What is the Robert Esche Save of the Day Foundation?
Rob Esche has raised more than $50,000 for local New York state children in need through various special events. The money goes toward helping children with life threatening illnesses in New York's Mohawk Valley, hometown to Rob Esche. As president of Save of the Day, Rob Esche initiated the foundation by organizing summer golf outings, raising over $83,000 in the first two years. The events were attended by teammates Mark Recchi and Eric Weinrich and former teammates Sean Burke and Chris McAllister, among others.
