A recap of the 2023-24 season

9th Annual Coloring Contest

Area elementary school students showcased their creativity by personalizing their own Comets coloring pages. Thanks to the Save of the Day Foundation, they had the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes and exclusive experiences.

The Adaptive Edge Skating Program

Our tailored skating program offers a person-centered approach to children aged 2 to 16 who face physical, communication, and/or cognitive challenges that might hinder their participation in traditional skating clubs. Emphasizing customized programs for each participant, our initiative not only cultivates skating skills but also nurtures social abilities and self-confidence.

Veteran’s Day Game

Save of the Day remains steadfast in its support for our Veterans. At our annual Veteran’s Day game, proceeds from specialty jersey auctions were generously donated to benefit Veterans. Additionally, Save of the Day proudly sponsored giveaway hats for all Veterans in attendance, honoring their service and sacrifice.

Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive

Save of the Day, alongside local sponsors, contributed to the purchase of 250 turkeys and accompanying sides. With the assistance of Utica Comets players, we successfully provided nourishment to hundreds of families in need during the past holiday season.

Adopt-a-Family

During the holiday season, with the help of both the Utica Comets and Utica City FC, Save of the Day facilitated gifts for 8 families, totaling over 33 individuals.

Johnson Park Center

Utica City FC – through its partnership with the Save of the Day Foundation, joined forces with additional volunteers to deliver home goods items to the Johnson Park Center, a non-profit that provides emergency and supportive housing for women, children, and families in Utica.

Save of the Day Weekend

A weekend devoted to showcasing all the causes and missions of the Save of the Day Foundation. Funds raised for our cause enable the Foundation to distribute resources throughout the community.

50/50 Raffle Mega Month

During the busy month of March, Save of the Day extended the 50/50 jackpot rollover for all games, fostering increased sales and generating additional funds to reinvest in the community. Not to mention, one lucky winner walked away with a generous prize!
