Adaptive Edge Skating School
400 Oriskany St. W.
Utica, NY 13502
Equipment:
Prior to the program start date, your child will need to be measured for skates, as well as identify any special adaptive equipment your child may require to get started. Adaptive equipment can include an ice walker, bar seat walker, or other adaptive equipment to support and enhance your child’s ice-skating experience. Families will need to purchase their own skates and helmets for their children. Additional equipment will be provided through a grant from the Save of the Day Foundation. Adaptive Edge Skating School will work with you and area vendors to secure the necessary adaptive equipment. Please contact Robyn Bentley at robyn@icehotconcepts.com for information on being fitted properly for skates.
Attire:
In addition to the required skates and helmets, it is suggested your child wear snow pants and mittens to keep them dry and warm.
Buddies:
If a child has a sibling or close friend that would like to learn to skate with your child, a buddy can be registered to participate for $15.00. Please talk with Courtney if you have a “buddy” for your child.
